The Windows One clicks install build is 317 Mbytes in size.

The Windows release build is 129 Mbytes.

It is mostly because the original installer used NSIS which was set to use LZMA SOLID compression, resulting in it being compressed much smaller and also part of why it takes multiple times longer to install the viewer (decompression). Velopack as far as I am aware, uses regular ZIP/deflate which compresses it much less but is also quite quick, also isn't compressing into a single block like NSIS was doing with the solid flag (which allowed even further compression).

There is an additional linker address map (.map) file that is ~150mb bundled which is unnecessary, but if you look at its compressed size inside the velopack installer, it is compressed down to 12mb, so that's irrelevant and barely contributing to the much bigger file size. There is an additional secondlife-bin.exe that isn't necessary and taking up 20mb compressed. Also all the extra test libs and exps files only make up about 1mb (and won't be there in a release build). The other ~155mb pretty much comes down to compression differences.

If this was in regards to what I said, everything I said was about the installer size too :)
Many of the things I pointed out have been addressed by Geenz where he now excludes all the unnecessary files. But the rest of what I said still stands regarding the compression method used and why Velopack's installer is still much larger than NSIS's.

The folder size of the current Release 26.1.0.22641522367 is 622 MB (Windows Installed apps reports 117 MB)

The installer size of one-click build 26.1.1.23221757505 is 276 MB
The folder size of one-click build 26.1.1.23221757505 is 880 MB (Windows Installed apps reports 880 MB)
