Sorry for the delay in responding. The "Credentials" function in MacYTDL rarely works these days especially in YouTube. MacYTDL can only download when provided with a video URL. The message that you need to login is being passed from yt-dlp. In MacYTDL, try adding the "--cookies-from-browser " parameter in the "Use custom settings" box. Add it in the same format as you would use in Terminal. Let me know how you get on. Garry |

I have a mojave system (can't afford to upgrade) but yt-dlp works for me from terminal with the --cookies-from-browser firefox option but I exported the cookies from yt-dlp bia terminal and pointed MacYTDL to the file, ticked the box and tried to download a yt video, I get the error that I need to log in (guess MacYTDL is ignoring that file then - yes it's formatted as netscape) so I clicked the tickbox to ask for credentials - I enter those when prompted and get the error that it's not supported - if so why does it ask me to supply them? but more over - how the heck do I download a yt video if I need to log in (I am logged into YT on the browser) but it then says I'm not or that it's not supported? what am I missing?
