How to restore a SeedVault backup without a second phone?

Hi everyone, I’ve been using SeedVault ever since I switched over to CalyxOS, but I’ve always been worried about whether a backup will fully restore my settings in the upgraded device. While I'm aware of the inspector tools, I’d prefer to virtually test the restoration process from start to finish.

Would the use of a CalyxOS emulator image in Android Studio fulfill this purpose, or is there a better method to go about it?

The best way is a second device, but that's usually not possible. So emulator image would work. Some people also make another user profile on the same device and restore there, but if you are worried about system settings, this may not be the best approach.

Thanks. I’ll then stick with the emulation approach since, unlike the profile method, it won’t modify anything on my device, and it allows me to replicate the behaviour of a completely different device.
