Unable to connect to radio server

The app started to show message "unable to connect to radio server" in each and every occasion, no matter radio station, network nor device (I first thought it would be some update, but the error is consistent in all my devices, even those who have not been updated)

In case it may help track the problem, here's some chronology:

I use up to three different devices. Two telephones during the day and a third, a tablet, when in bed.

All times expressed in (CET, Central European Time)

0345, I started the app on the phone that I usually leave home connected by Wi-Fi, for the dogs while I'm at work, tuned in a french station (192 Kbps). It worked with no issues (I only use it for that, I don't even have a google account linked to it and keep forgetting to update it).

0615-ish, I started the app on my cellphone at work, mobile data connection. "Unable to connect to radio server". Latest updates applied when leaving home.

1630, back at home, the app works flawlessly. The station does not send info on every track played, so I can't be completely sure whether the stream has been correct all day, but I would say that it was. I try connecting my mobile to compare with the other, and no connection. I then try to change the station and there showed the error message.

So, whatever happened, was somewhere after 0345 and before 0615 CET, and whatever happened did not affect the connections made before that time.

Seems to be an issue upstream with https://www.radio-browser.info/

At the time I had the same problem.
The whole app was unusable, though I had some stations saved as favourites.

While it was an problem with the "radio-browser.info" servers there still could be some improvement with the app:

In case the radio-browser is unavailable, this app could still work with the stations stored as favourites.
As soon as a user labels a station as favourite, the app should save the corresponding m3u URL.

With this simple feature, Radiodroid still would work, even if radio-browser-servers fail, for what reason ever.
