Exclude file/namespace/directory when run expand command

Some parts of the deployments could be different for different clusters and environments. For instance, the dev/test environment is missing some components because services are shared between dev and test. The local dev environment might not need some CSP-specific components (e.g., LB controller, external DNS managements, etc.).
Is there a way to exclude or customize "profiles" beyond templates?
