title: "PACE: Pattern for Agentic Conversational Experience"
4+
abstract: >
5+
PACE is a design framework for guide-first interfaces where AI leads users
6+
through conversation rather than traditional navigation. The acronym works
7+
on two levels: as "Pattern for Agentic Conversational Experience" (the what)
8+
and as four behavioral principles—Proactive, Adaptive, Contextual, Efficient
9+
(the how). PACE inverts the traditional browse-and-hunt paradigm, placing
10+
an AI guide at the center of the user experience.
