I was wondering if there is possibility to have some plan B for situations were the group gets dissolved for whatever reason or if the project is not completed, to participate stilli n some capacity in each day's activities.
As each day builds on top of the other, at least in the remote groups that I was TAing, there was not always success to finish everything for that day.
Plus some groups got dissolved, due to meeting time mismatches, etc., as it's hard for remote group members to meet and work together.
However, I noticed by the end that students wanted to participate, but because either they did not have contact with partner or they did not finish all the tasks of the previous day(s) , they could not find a way to participate.
I was wondering if it's possible to have some alternative path for students who can't finish the whole project, but wish to be active at their own pace, on a smaller scale, and if they can put it to show at the end as well, maybe just a slide.
Some ideas:
- create unit tests for other softwares
- present a change that they suggest to do for an already existing software
- present a challenge that they had?
So that way, even if some aspect of the plan A does not work, people can present something or finish something, or still work on the next day on something...
