Periodic update of list at runtime

Currently the suffix list is only (optionally) updated at compile time. Is there any interest in or effort toward implementing an option for regular updates of the list at runtime, similar to how the tzdata app updates its timezone database?

I could see this being pretty useful, as the official site states that "The list usually changes a few times per week".

Hey @cwc -- first off, sorry for the delayed response! I didn't realize it, but I wasn't watching this repository (nor was @benkirzhner who worked on this with me) so I didn't get notified of your issue and just noticed it now. I'm watching the repo now so I should be notified in the future.

As for your idea: I think it's a good one. We haven't considered adding support for that (and, in our usage, don't have a need for the data file being that up-to-date, honestly) but I think it'd be a good idea to have the option available for users who want it.

Would you be interested in putting together a PR?

On a side note, we finally got around to publishing this on hex so if you've been using this from git you can switch to the official release.

If I may suggest: this lib should provide a API for run-time upgrade, leaving frequency etc to the client application.
