Cannot use UserApps

Eventhough that #266 and serenity's dependency pr are both merged I still cannot use this in my application using 1.12.4 of serenity and 0.6.1 of poise.

The example https://github.com/serenity-rs/poise/blob/current/examples/feature_showcase/user_apps.rs also doesn't work for me, because: Unknown field: install_context.

I also cannot just use a patch section or use the git version, because then nix will (my packaging system) will complain, that poise doesn't have a checksum. This effectively means that I cannot use User-Apps, whilst using nix to build my docker containers.

Hello! Was running into a similar issue with poise = "0.6.1". It seems the cargo crate is behind the github repository.

By adding the following to Cargo.toml. I was able to use install_context feature demonstrated in examples/feature_showcase/user_apps.rs

poise = { git = "https://github.com/serenity-rs/poise", branch = "current"}

EDIT: apologies just noticed you mention the checksum error. You may have some luck finding the SHA1 hash for a recent commit and using rev instead of branch. here are some examples from the Cargo-Book

Yeah. Using a rev does work, but it's definitely inelegant (as can be seen in the workaround commit)

User Apps doesn't seem to registered to PrivateChannels for me. It works fine on guilds and bot dms.
