Backup & restore approaches

Currently this CSI does not appear to support volume snapshots, so what are some elegant solutions for backup and restore?

Hello, I am using application-level backups, as most databases have their own backup solutions.

For databases I understand, but that's not what I'm asking about. I'm talking about persistent volumes that hold data or configs.

Rsync, tar-gz and other tools, You can mount a PVC to multiple pods on the same node.

Sorry if this is a bit of a necro post, but I wanted to share a possible approach I came across while researching this.

It looks like Velero with the File System Backup should work for backing up data to an external S3-compatible server. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but in theory it could provide a workaround even though it doesn’t integrate with Proxmox’s built-in backup features.
