How to connect Cloudflare DNS through proxy #163
-
Cloudflare offers to connect the DNS record to the server with Proxy enabled or Proxied (see https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/proxy-status/#proxied-records). From Cloudflare's documentation this offers several benefits:
When I try to enable it, the spin deployed app is not accessible but in DNS only mode it is accessible. From the video @jaydrogers shows that he switches the Proxy status to DNS only (see https://youtu.be/I_dq-kRDztI?si=sboQBnjhtzKeA-wi&t=492) and it works under that mode too. In his other demo (see https://youtu.be/9dfW2eI9Joo?si=VraFfngiyyzwQwke&t=653) he says you can keep the proxied status to on but he turns it off. So not sure if it actually works with it on? As the above is beneficial - can someone share how to get the proxied mode to work with a spin deployed application? |

We use CloudFlare all the time with Spin Pro. Make sure you understand these concepts that I have documented here: https://getspin.pro/docs/advanced/configure-dns-records-for-your-app#cloudflare-only-configure-ssl-mode
