Current Behavior

Notifications for new messages do not function on both desktop for mac and on iOS.

Expected Behavior

app's in foreground / background/shut down the normal behavior: promptly receive notifications for messages.

I think I'm also having this same issue, not getting notifications,

Originally setup with slow-mode but turned on fast-mode. Not getting notifications even with fast-mode.
