Cannot find module 'tailwindcss/defaultTheme' or its corresponding type declarations

Created a monorepo from doc.
In tailwind config of ui package tailwindcss/defaultTheme shows error.

@Battosuai I ran into this too and solved it, figured I'd share.

TLDR; Add .js to the import path:

import { fontFamily } from "tailwindcss/defaultTheme.js";

This is necessary because:

1. packages/ui/package.json has "type": "module", which means .js/.ts files are treated as ESM.
2. The tailwindcss 3.x package, at time of writing, doesn't have an "exports" map in its package.json to expose ./defaultTheme as a valid export.

You can give the ESM loader a nudge and tell it you're looking for a specific file relative to the root of the package by adding the .js extension.

note: This won't be an issue in tailwindcss 4 because package.json defines an export map.
