How to contain the sidebar inside a container?

Currently the sidebar is taking full screen height, how can I contain it inside wrapper?
My desired app shell is to have a full-width header and a content wrapper that has the sidebar.

<div>
     <header></header>
      <div>
          <SidebarProvider>
          <AppSidebar />
          <SidebarInset>
                -- content --
          </SidebarInset>
          </SidebarProvider>
      </div>
</div>

With above structure, the sidebar will take up full screen height and not contained by its outer div container.
