Can the shad MCP server work with Kiro? How?

I have tired following the docs for vscode and added them to kiro. Sadly, I can't seem to get the MCP server working. First time ever working with an MCP setup. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the MCP server working partly with Kiro, but it can't seem to list all the items in my custom registry. And it also says that its returning HTML and not json. Werird.

I was able to get the commands working. For example,

pnpm dlx shadcn list @acme

Initially, it was not working bc the registry.json file was not in the /public/r/ directory. So my question is why does registry:build not copy registry.json to the public folder on build. That seems like a bug to me.
