I've been pondering how I could build the AH optimization tool that KR players use to find cheap gearsets (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbGupFQ7aHk), but ultimately the biggest hurdle is the lack of API from Amazon. Given that there are currently no plans to implement an API (per Roxx) for the AH data, would it be possible to use your packet logging to scrape this data whenever a user opens an AH search?
My initial thought was that players could build a local database by navigating through a bunch of AH pages (in some format - JSON, some SQLite database, etc.), then a browser based tool could use that data. Obviously there would be issues with stale data, but data quality is something that users could address themselves by more frequently browsing the AH to refresh/rebuild their local database.
If so inclined, theoretically this could grow into a community contributed (or maybe select contributors) Lost Ark version of something like TSM (https://tradeskillmaster.com).
