Unable to use Settings #1449

🐛 Describe the bug
I use VSCodium (Insiders build) Tried to use this extension to export from an older mac and import into a newer mac (same OS version). But, though I have logged into Github, used the same gist id, etc, the new system did not recognize the settings. For eg, in my old system, I had explicitly set the "save" preference to be "onFocusChange". After force-downloading in the new laptop (using the same GH Id, gist id, etc), the preferences still did not have the choice for save preference chosen correctly. Same was the case for trim, file exclusions, etc

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to the preferences for Settings Sync, and enter all the data.
- Make sure to use "Force Download" at least for the first install on new machine
- After configuring the extension, use the
Opt+Shift+Dkeyboard combo to download - Open the VSCodium Preferences
- Check the "save" option
- See that the choice from the dropdown is still the default and not what was pre-chosen and uploaded from the old machine
