Compatibility failiure when attempting web install with PHP 8.1.14

From the PHP error log:

PHP Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in /var/www/html/xataface/installer.php on line 200

I'm not sure how deep this goes. This seems similar to an error in issue #121

I've had similar issues when trying to migrate a older Xataface version to a new box. As far as I'm seeing, the squiggly brackets ( '{' and '}' ) need to be replaces with brackets ( '[' and ']' ). You might try changing that line in the installer.php to see if it helps you.

I had other issues related to the 'strlen' functions and the SkinTool.php file as well. Best I found was to modify the function so it would check for null values.

if ( !is_null($skin) and strlen($skin) > 0 and preg_match('/^[0-9a-zA-Z_]+$/', $skin) ){

I had another error related to Table.php and the 'strftime' function. I hacked a workaround to switch over to the 'IntlDateFormatter' function. I have not tested this much, it just allowed me to keep this old archived application running.

$formatter = new IntlDateFormatter('en_US', IntlDateFormatter::SHORT, IntlDateFormatter::NONE);
$out = $formatter->format(strtotime($out));

^ this needs to be worked on as it is not keeping the app's date format ($fmt). I've just statically set this to en_US for my need.

FYI - Keep in mind I haven't tested any of this to extent. My goal was to just keep the page loadable.
