websockets?

Thanks for the utility. I see that long polling is used for the client connection which is probably ok for this case, but websockets would be a better solution here.

Yes, websocket is better for server push event. And go has very good websocket support: http://code.google.com/p/go/source/browse/?repo=net#hg%2Fwebsocket

Why not support both methods? I've submitted PR #6 which adds websockets as an option.
