Issues adding using yarn

When installing using yarn add, the following error is shown:

error node-uber@2.0.0: The engine "node" is incompatible with this module. Expected version "6.10".

Node version: 7.8.0
yarn version: 0.24.5

same problem. I dont want to install ignoring the engines. any solution out there ?
