Clarification on recovering global metric scale from ground objects

Thank you very much for releasing the integrated version with ORB SLAM. 

In the published paper, you stated that for ground objects "the scale is determined by the camera height in the projection process". Would you clarify this statement? What is the variable $m$ in equation 3?
