Connect to IPv6-only database via hostname

Is it possible to connect to a database that only listens on IPv6?

I am using a URI of the following format to connect:

mysql://user:[email protected]:3306/db?ssl={"rejectUnauthorized":true}

This generates an error message like this:

error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND example.net {"code":"ENOTFOUND","errno":-3007,"fatal":true,"hostname":"example.net","syscall":"getaddrinfo"}

It looks like only the A record for this domain is checked. Is there a flag to prefer IPv6?

Found the solution in the meantime ...

First I tried Node's --dns-result-order flag without success. But eventually it dawned on me, that the host very well had IPv6 connectivity, but the Docker container trying to connect to the DB did not 😅.
