Connection to chat.signal.org is stopped by firewall

• I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

The problem lasts for several days.
I can't send messages from the app. My firewall (FG) is blocking connections to:

chat.signal.org - Insecure connection: Certificate not trusted:

grpc.chat.signal.org - Insecure connection: Unsupported protocol:

Steps to reproduce

1. Sending a message.
2. Status: sending.

Expected result

3. The message reaches the server and the recipient

Actual result

3. The message did not reach the server.

I checked the that thread, but it's not the same problem. My firewall reports "Event Type: server-rst" which indicates a problem on Signal's end (on the forum is "Event Type: ssl-anomaly", firewall problem).

P.S. I noticed that above is Issue #7712 which looks like a similar problem

@SQ8KMZ thank you! As Trevor mentioned in the other thread, this information would also be helpful:

1. any firewall rules in place to allow Signal traffic
2. (if possible) if you're able to send messages when the firewall is disabled

Of course. I disabled the firewall rules, and Signal Desktop communication works. I enabled it, and it doesn't. Unfortunately, I can't afford to disable the firewall. I haven't changed anything in the configuration for a month, Signal Desktop was working, and then suddenly it stopped.

Today I checked the app and everything seems to be working. The Signal server is accepting connections correctly.
