Bug description
It is not possible to transfer a Signal account from an old iPad to a new one, both using Signal version 7.86.2. No prompt is shown on the old device. No error or any message is shown. All suggested checks were done: local network, wifi, bluetooth etc. all correct.
One day earlier this process was done on another set of old & new devices with success. Version details of both sets of devices (working and not working) below.
Very similar to this bug: #6149, but with a newer version of the Signal app.
Steps to reproduce
- install Signal on new device
- choose option "transfer from device"
- open Signal on old device
- continue on new device to display QR code and let it search for local devices
Actual result: Nothing happens. No prompt is displayed on old device. No errors.
Expected result: A prompt to start transferring the account and data from old to new device.
