how to revert?

To get around a couple of regressions, I'd like to revert to using an earlier version of the program, but it isn't clear how to do that. I downloaded and unpacked the file "Scanner_-_3_0_6_0.zip" and tried to run the "Install.ps1" script, but after giving developer permission, the PowerShell window ended up disappearing without seeming to have done anything. Should I try building it from source instead, or am I missing something?
