• Sidecars + Testing

  Purpose: Establish a robust, diffable, and testable representation of the Excel tool state without breaking existing VBA workflows. Scope includes: Sidecar format (CSV/JSON) and manifest definition Python tooling to convert project_export.xlsx into canonical sidecars Schema registry and validation rules Sceario-based regression testing (golden cases) CI checks for schema and sidecar validity Out of scope: Removing or replacing existing .xlsx import/export Refactoring domain logic or calculations in Excel Success criteria: Sidecars can be reviewed in PRs Schema drift and regressions are detectable automatically
