BUG - CMD+SPACE is not captured

I'm on the latest version of both firmware and app (1.0.13 and 1.2.10).

I'm using a MacBook and the nanokvm pro is also connected to another MacBook. No matter if I use Chrome or Firefox, in fullscreen mode or not, I can't open spotlight on the remote MacBook using CMD+SPACE, it triggers it on my macbook and not the remote one. Even if i try to setup a shortcut I can't, it register CMD, but then the SPACE key is not captured and spotlight on my MacBook opens.
I also have the same issue when booting in PiKVM.

The only way for now to make it work, is by using the virtual keyboard, but that's really not ideal.

Since CMD+SPACE is a system-level shortcut, the OS intercepts it. As a result, the browser cannot capture the input, preventing the key combination from being forwarded to the remote host.

As a workaround, you can try recording the CMD+SPACE combination under Keyboard > Shortcuts in the menu bar, which should allow you to send it to the remote host.

Thanks for your quick answer, I can't either unfortunately, even when recording a shortcut it opens spotlight instead of setting up the shortcut correctly. The virtual keyboard cannot be used to record shortcuts so I can't use it either.
And sometimes even CMD+C, CMD+V or CMD+S are not captured. Also, the remote MacBook sometimes thinks CMD is still pressed after i did a CMD+C for example.

Sorry I didn't describe it clearly.
You don't need to press all keys simultaneously. You can enter the key combination sequentially, pressing one key at a time.

Thank you, doing it that way works. But have you any plan to make it easier to use those kinds of shortcuts, like pikvm does (https://docs.pikvm.org/shortcuts/) ? And maybe even updating pikvm so we can use the magic key they implemented at the end of last year ?

Regarding the PiKVM update, it’s going to take a little longer. Since PiKVM has updated some dependencies, we need to resolve those first.

In version 1.2.12, we added support for shortcuts and updated PiKVM.
This version is now available in the preview channel.

I've updated my nano kvm pro to the version 1.2.12, booted into pikvm and i can confirm I have access to the magic key feature and it's working great. I also saw that in the nano kvm software a feature called Leader key have been added, i've tried it and it works perfectly too !
