Mask KVM Monitor "7CH 1080" via EDID editing?

Is it possible to mask the KVM Monitor "7CH 1080" by editing EDID?

Also interested in masking other devices that KVM connects to the host via USB HID. If the first device in the tree can be masked, further ones aren't supported, at least via renaming.

You can try unplugging or disabling the loopback first, then switch the EDID to see if it’s recognized correctly.

I tried everything, including this, the firmware was updated to the latest version 1.2.12, it doesn’t help. Perhaps something in the system is damaged and I need to reinstall the base OS image.

For USB, you can try disabling the Virtual Disk feature in the settings.

Turning off Virtual Disk does not remove it from the system, it remains visible, perhaps this error is a consequence of the problems mentioned above, one of these days I will try to reinstall the base image.

I flashed the image of a clean OS 20260119_NanoKVMPro_1_0_13.img.xz, still the name of the screen does not change from "7CH 1080", and the maximum supported resolution remains 1920x1080 60hz.

I connected the screen via NanoKVMPro and the resolution rises to 4K, but it was important for me to use the NanoKVM PRO without an external display. How to upload an EDID with a changed name and 4K resolution without passthru of a real monitor?

cd /root

tar -xvf lt86102_firmware.tar.gz

systemctl stop kvmcomm.service

rmmod lt6911_manage

reboot

After reboot, switch different EDID profiles in the Web UI and then check on the host side whether the monitor name and supported resolutions change, to confirm if EDID switching works correctly.

Regarding the USB issue, could you please provide more detailed logs, including the device information recognized by the host when the Virtual Disk feature is enabled and disabled?

systemctl stop kvmcomm.service

reboot

The disk 'sipeed Flash Drive USB Device' disappeared, apparently for some reason I had the 'disabled' flag in the settings, but the file itself existed, so the script displayed it in the system.

Can I also make masking possible for disks, network, and audio? Changes the name of devices displayed for the OS.

Masking is not supported for the NCM network device.
For USB disk and audio devices, we’ve confirmed this requirement and it will be added in the next release.
