Description of your feature request

I can't even find the source for DeflOpt so I don't even know how to distribute this for Linux systems. Do we even need this today?

I believe this one would have to be run in Wine. It's not essential to bundle it.

It is an example of where allowing the Flatpak to execute programs outside of the sandbox would be potentially useful though. As far as I know the program still does manage to do something extra after the other optimization tools.

The closest open source post-compression optimizer I've found is deft4j, but both are able to improve on each other, so whatever deflate stream optimization is happening there's not really a direct replacement.

Advpng is a re-compressor, optimizing the actual image rather than the container/deflate stream. If going this route there's other additional and more efficient tools such as ECT and OxiPNG, which usually produce the best results, although with PNG optimization there's no one best tool, each can improve on each other in different orders.
