Test on big-endian platform

Big-endian systems aren't easy to come by anymore and as such it might be that borer was never actually tested on such a system. While everything should work as expected (just not as optimized performance-wise as on little-endian platforms) it'd be good to actually run the test suite in a big-endian environment.
