What about "on-prem" meaning private LLMs which are fed with the source code of the organization? Would that not be working very well especially because of the organization-specific conventions and best practices?

Interesting question. I wasn't thinking much about this before. However, a considerable amount of data is required to use LLM, which can be difficult for many companies. Another challenge to consider is the quality of their code. I would be cautious about replicating such code bases further in every case.
