[Bug] No "Create Issue" button

Summary

At Step 2, Activity 5, my top right does not have the "Create Issue" button, despite the alert being an open alert.

However, looking at the GitHub actions, I read that to proceed to the next step, I only needed to create an issue, any issue. So, I created one manually from the "Issues" tab to be able to proceed to Step 3.

Suggestion for improvement

For people who cannot see the "Create Issue" button like me:

• Click on the "Issues" tab
• Click the "New issue" button in the top right corner.
• Just add any title and description you want, for example, the Alert number and the links.
• Finally, click "Create" and wait for the GitHub Action to run and refresh.

Navigate to the Actions tab and manually trigger the workflow titled Step 2: Review and Triage CodeQL Alerts.

This operation is secure and will not disrupt critical processes, as the absence of the issue does not impact later steps.

I have the same problem. I understand the workaround but still wonder if Github is removing the create issue functionality for security alerts?

This repository recently got a update where this isn't an issue anymore and the overall flow of the exercise has been revamped to be issue driven
