Mutiny 3.0.0 is around the corner, but this will be transparent for the vast majority of users.
The reason why Mutiny will bump to a new major release is because we adhere to semantic versioning, and that we are serious about it. This is a very effective versioning scheme that clearly communicates the API compatibility, which is very important for library consumers.
We have made a good job so far at keeping binary compatibility under control, but sometimes you also need to make changes that might potentially break some user code.
We have recently received #1848, a very nicely crafted pull-request that greatly improves failure handling APIs, and while it won't break source compatibility, it will potentially break binary compatibility, hence we will be going with Mutiny 3.0.0 and not Mutiny 2.10.0.
I will fork a
2.xbranch for maintenance if we ever need to backport critical fixes.I expect Mutiny 3.0.0 to be released next week.
