What is the difference between these two?

SimpleStorage simpleStorage = SimpleStorage(simpleStorageArray[_simpleStorageIndex]);

and

SimpleStorage simpleStorage = simpleStorageArray[_simpleStorageIndex];

One is wrapped in SimpleStorage, but why and when is this necessary?

@r3lik Can you mention the time stamp where you saw that? Because there is a mistake, maybe you have misinterpreted it. The first line should be like this: SimpleStorage simpleStorage = SimpleStorage(address(simpleStorageArray[_simpleStorageIndex]))

In the first one, we are creating an object of SimpleStorage, and for creating an object of a contract we need 2 things, ABI and Address. ABI will automatically detect the artifacts, we just need an address that we are getting from an array of SimpleStorage objects and convert it to an address.

As you can see, this is so boilerplate why should we convert to address and then again create a SimpleStorage object when we already have SimpleStorage objects in an array. The second one is simply doing that just getting the object at a particular index.

The only difference is that in the second one, we are typing-casting (or conversion) the simpleStorageArray to a SimpleStorage type. Hope this helps.
