@MasterofBlockchain Yeah, it is so because it is more expensive to read from storage variables than memory variables.

Why? Because we do not need to read from storage—i.e. the array—every time we are looping through the for-loop. So, we just create a temporary variable—i.e memory—so that it reduces the gas fees. (relative to that of the storage method)

sure! thats what i did as per patrick. but in the course video his cheapwithdraw fee was lower than its showing in mine. so there is no point for us to use?

or second question could be I followed as the course did but mine cheapwithdraw is more expensive than regular withdraw

Assuming your code is correct, if you followed along precisely:

Mathematically, it is because the fees are proportional. The more the value of the txn, the higher—and more noticeable—the value of the fees. So, you want it optimized for every scenario.
