I'm in currently in lesson-9 and it's is a little bit difficult for me to continue with freecodecamp's video, So I searched in youTube for similar video on raffle and I came across chainlink's raffle app live video. It's bit easy for me, so I'm watching it and at59:47 in
Video link in line number 115 I didn't understood why you use % symbol.

that is the modulo keyword bro . In a quest to select the winner at random as possible because he is not using an oracle like chainlink VRF, he uses the modulo keyword as a pattern to make sure he selects a user at random

##Modulo Operandi

The Modulo Operandi or remainder operator (%) returns the remainder left over when one operand is divided by a second operand. It always takes the sign of the dividend.

example

console.log(13 % 5);
// expected output: 3

console.log(-13 % 5);
// expected output: -3

console.log(4 % 2);
// expected output: 0

console.log(-4 % 2);
// expected output: -0
