Error when picking server id - "Unable to verify server ID. Please try again"

Description

I am currently blocked from registering my mcp server with smithery.ai. No matter what value I choose for server id it is rejected with the error "Unable to verify server ID. Please try again"

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to smithery.ai -> Publish -> MCP
2. Sign in with git -> redirected to smithery.ai/servers/new
3. Namespace seems to validate just fine with a green check, but no matter what I choose for server-id I receive "Unable to verify server ID. Please try again"

Expected Behavior

The server-id should validate and get a green check box and allow the continue button to move to the next step

Actual Behavior

server-id throws a validation error "Unable to verify server ID. Please try again" and I am unable to proceed with the publish MCP process

Additional Context

• Browser: Tried latest chrome and latest brave - neither worked either logged in or incognito
• OS: - Mac OS Tahoe 26.3

Hey @sentinelsignal! This was an intermittent issue that should be resolved now. Try publishing again via our CLI:

npx @smithery/cli mcp publish
