Compilation on Mingw64 #218

Hi,
When you try to compile the project on Mingw64, I've got the first error:

/x86_64-w64-mingw32/bin/ld.exe: ancilla.o: in function `SpinSpark_Draw':
ancilla.c:(.text+0x4aaa): undefined reference to `__assert_fail'

this is resolved by adding the include in ancilla.c:

#include <assert.h>

Then I have a warning even if the zelda3.exe has been generated:

x86_64-w64-mingw32/bin/ld.exe: zelda3.exe:.comment: section below image base

I've just run make without any further option

And then if you like to build the Switch binaries, yoy need to add DevKitPro, for that:

import DevKitPro keys:
pacman-key --recv BC26F752D25B92CE272E0F44F7FD5492264BB9D0 --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com
local sign the keys for DevKitPro
pacman-key --lsign BC26F752D25B92CE272E0F44F7FD5492264BB9D0
import the keyring for DevKitPro
pacman -U --noconfirm https://pkg.devkitpro.org/devkitpro-keyring.pkg.tar.xz
add the next lines to your /etc/pacman.conf file

Server = https://pkg.devkitpro.org/packages

[dkp-windows]
Server = https://pkg.devkitpro.org/packages/windows/$arch/

update package database
pacman -Syuu --noconfirm
install requiered Packages for Switch
pacman -Sy --needed --noconfirm …

Hello there, I just download and install the latest version of MSYS and ran the commands:

Install the needed packages
pacman -Sy --needed --noconfirm git make mingw-w64-x86_64-python mingw-w64-x86_64-python3-pillow mingw-w64-x86_64-python-yaml mingw-w64-x86_64-gcc mingw-w64-x86_64-SDL2
Clone the repo, and change to the new created folder
git clone --recursive https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3
cd ~/zelda3/
#copy legally acquired ROM to ~/zelda3/tables/zelda3.sfc
cp "c:\folderbackup\zelda3.sfc" ~/zelda3/tables/
ejecute the make command with all CPUs available
make -j$(nproc)

The result was OK, these are a summary of the commands and response:

If you haven't you need to clone the repo and copy the ROM to the needed folder

git clone --recursive https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3
cd ~/zelda3/
cp "c:\folderbackup\zelda3.sfc" ~/zelda3/tables/

if you haven't build the windows version, you need to extract the resources:

cd ~/zelda3/tables/
python extract_resources.py
python compile_resources.py

if you had build the Windows version, yo need to clean before continue

cd ~/zelda3
make clean

when you are ready, you can build the Switch binaries
cd ~/zelda3/platform/switch/

you must to have the DevKitPro environment variables:

export DEVKITPRO=/opt/devkitpro
export DEVKITARM=/opt/devkitpro/devkitARM
export DEVKITPPC=/opt/devkitpro/devkitPPC

export PATH=${DEVKITPRO}/tools/bin:$PATH

Run make:
make -j$(nproc)
