Snowflake's continued commitment to SQLAlchemy

We appreciate your continued patience. Following the earlier message from our Product Leadership regarding enhanced support for Snowflake SQLAlchemy, which can be found here, we are pleased to announce that with the recent release of v1.8.0, the project is no longer in maintenance mode.

We are dedicated to ensuring an optimal experience for our Snowflake SQLAlchemy user community. To this end, we have implemented the following commitments:

• We will conduct regular reviews of incoming GitHub issues and Pull Requests (PRs).
• We will release fixes to bugs and minor enhancements with greater frequency (~monthly).
• A major version, Snowflake-SQLAlchemy 2.x, which will exclusively support SQLAlchemy 2.0, will be released at a future date following prior notification to the user community.
• We also intend to support SQLAlchemy 2.1 in the future once the version has stabilized.
