I have tried this before:

interface ServerToClientEvents {
    getCurrentDownloads: Status<null, typeof downloadQuee>;
    startDownload: Status<"videoexists" | "nosuchfolder">;
    progress: [number, number];
}

changed to:

interface ServerToClientEvents {
    getCurrentDownloads: (a: Status<null, typeof downloadQuee>) => void;
    startDownload: (a: Status<"videoexists" | "nosuchfolder">) => void;
    progress: (a: [number, number]) => void;
}

and now it works
