Does reanimated support playing animations while native ui (alerts / prompts) are shown?

I'm using reaimated through library called Moti and recently came across an issue where animations were not playing once native bit of ui was shown i.e alert, face id prompt or apple sign in. Here is related issue with video of the problem nandorojo/moti#162

It was suggested that underlying issue is not with moti, but rather reanimated, so I wanted to start this discussion to find a root of the problem and perhaps get more details to create an issue if this is an actual bug.

Would appreciate any comments and ideas on what could be done here, if its a bug or intended behaviour etc.

EDIT: Upon further testing this doesn't happen with normal Alert's and when going through google sign in process (i.e opening webview). Seems to occur with apple sign in / face id prompt atm
