Is it possible for the shared element transition to work with the Modal component directly?

I've noticed that the following code doesn't enable the shared element transition:

    <Modal>

        sharedTransitionTag="sharedTag"
      />
    </Modal>

</View>

It seems that, for now, the only working approach is to use the modal as a React Navigation screen. However, I'm wondering if it will be possible to achieve this kind of usage in the future. Could it potentially work with reanimated's architecture? I'm curious about the future prospects for this feature.
