Is PRODUCTION=1 still required on iOS with custom configuration name ?

On previous versions, if the iOS project had a custom configuration instead of just “Release” you had to put PRODUCTION=1 to get the right corresponding Podfile.lock.

Is this still required? I don't see any documentation related to this change anymore.

to add -DNDEBUG

So I guess we should still keep that PRODUCTION flag

This was a legacy solution that is irrelevant now and can be removed. I defined NDEBUG macro upstream in react-native back in the day facebook/react-native#41715
