Animating a Path

Is there a simple example how to animate a path?

I'm trying to Animate an Arc and so far it fails miserably always just crashing and I can't find a good hint how to handle it.

I suppose you are using react-native-svg and try to animate the path property with the animatedProps, right? Or are you trying to do something else?

Could you possibly share a code snippet that you have?

I tried both react-native-svg and skia. In both cases Expo Go would just crash as soon as I tried to create a path object using useDerivedValue. Then I tried the SVG syntax to describe the path (because I read one can't create an object on the Ui thread) but even with the string Expo Go would just crash. So I was hoping to find a simple example to find a pattern how to do it.

Can you show me your code that results in a crash? I cannot help you without seeing an example of you are doing.

Thank you for your help! I think I managed to get it work with this example, at least it's not crashing. But boy is this a not simple at all example.
