Feature Request: Programmatically close SearchBar and changing search input to allow implementation of search hints

The feature to programmatically close the SearchBar of a native screen and changing search input, would allow to show a custom component with search hints, while the search bar is open.

As currently the search input can not be updated or closed wh en an search hint would be clicked.

I would like to help implementing this but we Obj C Skills are very limited compared to my Swift skills. :D
