Rootless Containers using Podman

I followed the self-hosting example and it works without problems using docker compose. However, It does not work using podman compose. I generally favor podman over docker as it is rootless. However, I get the following error related to the logs:

Has anyone succeeded in getting this to work using podman?

Answering my own question here: So chowning chown -R 1000:1000 app-storage logs does not apply for podman as it maps the UID of the container to some subUID range of your user.
The easiest way to solve that was to run:

cd path/to/solidtime
podman unshare chown -R 1000:1000 logs app-storage
podman compose down
podman compose up -d

After that, you'll see that the ownership changed and the permission error is fixed :)
