Linux support?

Is it possible to get makefiles for linux ?
It does seem like the code should work for that platform without much changes.

I would also guess probably not too much work (we use relatively little platform-specific code, and the underlying GUI framework that we use supports Linux), however it is not work that I see either of us doing since neither of us uses Linux personally (or at least I believe that is true for @tom7).
