I believe AddRazorRuntimeCompilation is now obsolete in .NET 10.
Does this library support .NET 10?

Hi @hn1, Yes, this library supports .NET 10. The latest version 2.1.0 targets net6.0. So anything above should work. Test cases are already updated to multi target net10.0.

However, I'm yet to publish a new version due to the obsolete APIs like #90 and update the docs about the Razor Runtime Compilation deprecation. Hopefully I'll get some time over the holiday period.

If you're just using the build time compilation for rendering the views, then there shouldn't be any issue. But If you do so, please let me know.

Who said we are targeting .Net6 ! We are actually working with .Net9.

I was referring to the library itself. This is the Core project but it's typical of most of the projects. I don't see .NET 8 or 9 anywhere.

I stopped creating new sample projects for every .NET release as there were no breaking changes lately. Instead I was updating the test projects to multi target new versions

Why are you still targeting net6.0? Nothing older than net8.0 is supported now.

That's simply because there were no breaking changes in the underlying APIs that this library uses nor I saw any benefits in keeping it updated every .NET release or newer APIs that I can make use of. All this library references is

and if my understanding is correct, the library is going to be complied against the .NET version of the consuming project and it's going to run on that .NET runtime. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Having said that, I'll be updating it to target both net8.0 and net10.0 to resolve the obsolete API warnings later this week hopefully.

I agree with not creating new sample projects and would recommend removing the NETx_0 suffix from them. IMO, the problem with still having everything targeting 6.0 is that it gives me the impression that the library is not being actively supported. 6.0 was a long time ago in the .NET world.

It would be great if you have time to update it soon and I'd be really happy if you could add in support for Embedded Resources as mentioned in #76. I've been working on that functionality and updating the target framework because of my concern above.

I'd be really happy if you could add in support for Embedded Resources

@jovball, unfortunately it's not possible anymore. Please refer to the breaking change details in the release notes as to why Embedded Resources or other runtime compilation aren't supported anymore :(
