Trying to understand the basics of using LAYERS

Looking at some of the show-and-tell examples, it looks like we can add (SVG) graphics to individual frames in order to annotate them but I cannot see how to go about creating a new layer and adding a graphic?

Can anyone please get me started?

You cannot create layers in Sozi itself. Adding layers is part of the graphic creation process and should be supported by your drawing software. If you are using Inkscape, you will find information here: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Layers.html
