The workaround would be make a channel (any channel) in the "Default" group be sort order 0 (or 1, or whatever the lowest number is). Then any channel in "Sports" be sort order 2, etc. This way the channels are at the top and groups will be imported in that order.
Good news! This is already there 😉 From the Channels page, use the "Action" button in the top-right to find a "Find & Replace" action that will accomplish exactly this |

The issue in #8 makes it sound like sorting the channels in the playlist, and thats the same order they are output in the generated m3u. Is this correct? Is it possible to also have sorting within groups?
As example. I host a playlist and epg for my grandma. She has fat fingers when it comes to remotes, so i would create a default group for her and put all her channels into that group. its not really alphabetical, but i put her local stations at the top, then i put sports channels, and finally movie channels.
Maybe have buttons for move channel up/down, or enable drag/drop to reorder.
Then the only other thing to make this perfect as far as i'm concerned would be have find replace channel renaming. Like replace("US: ", "") from all channel names.
Regardless, thanks for an awesome tool.
I wont open another issue for this idea....but it would be nice to have the short urls just provide the m3u or epg directly without a redirect. Realistically, if you can do short urls why even bother with the huge one anyways. I know i sure as heck dont like typing them out on a remote.
Keep up the great work.
